I have three Still Point Ultra 5s under my P10 and they had a huge imp[act on the sound, I have not been able to mount them and was thinking I would have to drill holles and tap the holes for an adapter to mount the still points.
It may be a huge deal but it would be great if PS had predrilled and tapped holes that could be used for such purposes. Ideally five holes (one each corner or using 4 feet and a fifth to allow setups that use three feet.

I have a suggestion for Paul-perhaps in lieu of accommodating individual isolators, PSA could release a “special powerbase” if you will that has active vibration isolation (perhaps similar to the Herzan TS-150) but built to accommodate the heavy weight of the amplifiers and match the aesthetics? Could even do that for the P10’s as well. The Ultras are $700 apiece-if PSA had a matching base with the performance of a top quality isolation table that accommodated / matched the form factors of the P10s / BHK amps / preamplifier for a reasonable price i would be a buyer…

It's an expensive footer with a problematic rubber sticky on it. Mine tried to come off too. Not the end of the world by any means however.
OK I'm wrong.. Sorry not cheap little feet ..my bad.. Still how about handles on the back or maybe some straps that go under the amp to help lift it or gloves ??

Great, well written review. Thanks. I look forward to your continuing comments as the amp breaks in. It does take some time before it gets to its true sweet spot.
Paul, so what is your experience? How long did it take your amp to get there?

magic, so you're just having the feet sit on top of the ultras at the moment i suspect?
yes that is correct and even this way, the Ultras under the P10 had an amazing effect on Sound, stronger bass, more open ,etc.
The interesting thing is that many months ago I tried them under the P10 and didn’t notice any significant change. But now with other upgrades, 3 Ultra for my PWD MK11 (actually drilled holes and mount the with adapters), getting Bridge 2, and updating my Server to Win 2012 R2 with AO, the 3 Ultrad under the P10 really improved things.
I’m not surprised. I figure that i’m going to isolate the BHK monos and my p10’s in some form or another. I’ve read too many positive reports at this point and zero negatives.
So . . . Why not mount four of these on the bottom of the unit long enough to roll it into position and then lift the unit onto the Stillpoints or Herbie’s feet?

Edit: These are $6 each and can screw into a threaded hole:
Just to add to the topic, I have four of the Herbies Audio Lab Big Tall Tenderfeet under my P10 that is sitting on a PowerBase.
Hard to remember at this point the amount of benefit noted, since I added them about two year ago. Since that time I have changed to my current pre-amp and the new DS DAC. With the weight of the P10, going back and forth between using the Tenderfeet or not, to test their effect now, is not an easy task.
I did feel under the feet of the P10 and I can feel the soft pads still intact. Its not something I noticed before. Once I get my Monoblocks, I’ll have to watch out for them. Since I have my current amps under their own sets of the Tenderfeet, I will be able to place them under the Monoblocks as well. Perhaps I will wait until after I get a feel for the sound of the new amps before I add them.
BHK250 or BHK300 with Magnepans? Magnepans are very power hungry, I wonder if the stereo 250W amp has enough juice. I think this task is for the monos.
Paul - I’ve read numerous reports from the Newport show and several mentioned the Legacy room where I recall you were planning on using the BHK amps, but I have yet to see any mention of PS Audio or the BHK amps at the show. If you would be so kind as to share whether you used them as planned as well as how they performed it would be most appreciated. TIA!
Yes, indeed, we were at the Legacy room where there were two setups and we had the BHK monos playing Legacy Focus SE loudspeakers. The room was pretty packed most of the time, though we could only play 3 tracks then the Legacy guys played three of theirs in the adjacent room. A little awkward but everything performed well and people seemed pretty impressed for what we achieved in a hotel room.
Go to our Instagram page and you can see photos of the room and setup. For those unfamiliar with Instagram, there’s pictures of what we do and we try and post something daily.
If you were able to tell in a hotel room, how were the Legacy SE’s ?
They were the best value new speakers I could find in Australia. One dealer has a few sets for AU$11.5k / 12.0k. I ended up finding a pair of used Salon2’s & stretched up to buy those, and the Legacy’s are fully man-sized speakers weighing an extra 20-30kg. The Legacy’s are also full range speakers. Very impressive kit for the money, I thought.
But I’ve never heard Maggie’s…
Appreciate that the BHK Mono’s only just made their debut, and the beta process is about to commence for the BHK Mono’s, but very keen to see some of the third party reviews / comments. The anticipation is too much…
I am considering purchasing a new amp, and obviously the BHK is a candidate. I am not aware of any reviews of the BHK stereo amp (I realize it's very 'early'). I am very interested in any unbiased views/reviews of this amp. I am keenly interested in 'hearing' about comparisons with known solid state contenders (and 'champions')...................I consider these amps as true champions/how-is-ted-coding-the-fpgaenders: The Krell Evolution series (especially the Evo 402e), the Pass labs "X series" and "XA series" (especially the XS 150).....................of course there are the usual mega-buck contenders from the likes of darTZeel, Lamm, and Dan D'Agostino, but I'm not sure those are 'fair comparisons' and they are definitely way out of my budget range anyway.
Can some of you point me to the appropriate thread(s), provide me with your opinions, or even arrange to ‘pm’ me.
To send a PM I think you click on the Inbox button and then Compose. Beta testers should already be posting their honest impressions on the forum as that was the purpose for the beta test. That includes comparisons to the equipment they (we) already own. There’s no reason you shouldn’t post any specific questions there for everybody to read. But I wouldn’t expect people to make comparisons to equipment folks haven’t heard in their own systems as that introduces too many variables (for me that excludes all the brands you listed, although I’ve heard many of them at dealers and shows).
Thanks Steve. I didn’t realize that the amp wasn’t available retail yet. I am certainly intrigued. I am anxious to read what the reviewers think…I’ll start with the reviews on this forum.
The stereo version has been available for a few weeks, but not enough time for reviews to come out (other than comments from beta testers that you can here).
