When I sat down to listen to music last night, everything that I played sounded far better than before. My non-audiophile wife heard the difference, too. There were notable improvements in soundstage width and depth, micro and macrodynamics, and bass. There was a clarity, spaciousness, transparency, ease, and rightness about everything. I had a palpable sense of being in the recording venue, or of the musicians being in my listening room. I haven’t heard anything like it in my 50 years as an audiophile. Magic!
I tried to figure out what had brought about such a remarkable improvement. I ordered some interconnects from Morrow Audio last week, but they haven’t arrived yet. As much as I love Morrow cables, I don’t think that they can work such magic.
Then I checked the elapsed time on my BHK preamp. It had just reached the 300 hour mark! Magic!
