The first version PSI AVAA (the passive one) can be had in white or black.
I do not know about the latest active version (I have only seen it in black). It’s quite new on the market so maybe the haven’t gotten to making a white version yet.
It’s still a loudspeaker company aimed at studio monitors, and that’s their priority even though us audiophiles understand that they might be the best hidden audiophile gem out there.
2 AVAAs are almost free compared to the cost of building a new listening room with the correct node measurements from scratch.
You also get the benefit of being able to have perfect bass in your living room, thereby sharing music with others instead of being alone in a man cave.
I do think AVAA will turn midfi to high end and high end into ultra high end, but I yet have to listen and it I still a bit of money to consider.
It’s easy to find and maybe the objective YouTube reviews are trustworthy, but here are PSIs own information. It’s spread among more than one page though…
AVAAs work where ever you place them. The have got better performance if you place them where the most amount of boomy base can be heard.
Placing one AVAA in a room will change the remaining room modes, making placement of a second one something that can be optimized only after the first is placed at the best spot.
They are quite efficient making placement easier and must not be optimized such as usual diffusers must be.
One of my favorite reviewers website have got a review of the first gen AVAA. He tries to install not one but two AVAAs.
Very well worth reading regardless if one consider installing bass traps, SR blackbox or have an interest in AVAA tech.
I do highly recommend having a look at all parts of this website. The special edition review of most kind of anti vibration products and tech a lone is worthy of an “Nobel price of checking out high end anti vibration products”.
Also the C20 old model is active, though and pretty large in dimensions. The new cylindrical shaped one is more intriguing IMO.
Once tested the BB I could get a better idea of my future plans.

C214 just came out this year, but I like their idea of bass handling. It has a smaller footprint than SR box, and it should be easier to place too with its software. Among this cylinder, SR white box, and thick bass traps, C214 is the best option for me.
The CEO mentioned that you can mount it on ceiling. I just have to wait until they make a white one. Thanks for sharing!
I think that is exactly what I have been looking for. An active bass trap makes a lot of sense and would use up a lot less space / be more specific to freq’s / and be easy to move.

Great video! Having three AVAA surrounding their listening chair… Well that was not all that was impressive. Just looking at the way the carpets surrounds the equipment is providing a picture of a guy that leaves no stone unturned.

I purchased HFT Standard packs and Wide Angle/X combo, couldn’t resist. Many Black Box owners said they work nice with the box, if not even better than it. But I’m interested only in our mentor’s opinion.
USD 20 for a grounding box. Puritan Route master at approx USD 500 used to be low cost solution.
As I know a bit about grounding from its other market, alternative health… I found this product.
The website is international so costs are likely to adapt pricing and currency to ip-address/country.
The biggest differences between the markets is that the alternative health movement have go hundreds of products (like blankets to put under the stereo), that the fittings are not perfect for stereo (some are good and at others one needs to fit an RCA or other connection) but most importantly in high end we aim for best possible effect (ohm) while the health market takes things a bit more modest (thin silver cables).

I’m really skeptical and, honestly, not a big fan of SR. Yes I made large use of their fuses, who didn’t!
Al inspired me, as usual, about the Black Box, that I should receive today. Reading many reviews and forum posts, the box seems to work even better when these funny buttons (so called by our mentor) are placed on the room’s walls. Like Vmax and Donald, I’m a little tweak addicted… dang!
One thing I learned about this hobby is that the biggest improvements often comes from the room, like speakers set up or acoustic treatment, and sometimes from the kind of liquid in your glass (no Vince, I’m not thinking to coffee!)
I am interested in the topic of grounding and came across the following forum.
This is where the kings of optimization seem to reside. There is a lot of reading material here. Including various powders and tapes for cables.
According to the forum, the corresponding weight ratio of a floor tank should be about 1/5 of the component.
At Axpona last year one room had a five gallon plastic pail full of good old earth. A ground rod into it. When he would disconnect it we heard the difference.
