FR20’s are loving 2.6.2 with Massive 228

The slight glare I was getting before this update is now gone. Great job PS Audio team! Now the upgrade to the MK2 makes a bigger impact on sound quality. Nice.

What is the i2s source that you are using? What is wrong with the dsd playback if you do not invert the polarities? Thanks

I have not loaded massive yet but I have found using DoP fixes many DSD issues with popping etc.

HP ultra Mini PC running Jriver MC via USB to Hermes DDC to i2s on MK2 and Mk1 and AES/EBU to RME DAC. The Hermes is set to PS Audio standard and works with the MK1 pinout perfectly so I know it’s set correctly. If not set to inverted on the MK2 the L/R channels will swap when playing DSD files.

Mutes sample rate changes during playback. This eliminates any pops and ticks between tracks.

Obviously, I didn’t write these release notes, but judging by what’s been mentioned previously, I believe it’s covering up (as jkrichards confirms). For anyone else: we’re talking about older fixes here. Hopefully we can now rely on structural improvements.
