DirectStream DAC successor?

Seriously considering upgrading my Perfectwave Mk2 to a DirectStream however the thought has crossed my mind that this DAC, or the case at least, is around 10 years old.

Do we know if a successor to the DirectStream, as in a completely new hardware and case design, is in the works?

Depends what in the works means. At this point, we’ve really only talked about doing it. Nothing is being worked on though. Any sort of DSD replacement won’t come for years.
