Interesting.
I do not use playlists. Sorting tracks by volume never occurred to me.

I donāt see anyone saying āThe hell with the others.ā Weāre allowed to be happy with what we have. And weāve been more respectful at it.
Iām sorry but thatās what I feel a number of people are effectively saying.
Maybe time for a strollā¦

Idiots
I get it, my request of PS Audio is to make it so the larger number on the screen is selectable by user between volume vs. bitrate/depth, realizing there are probably many with both desires.
This is exactly the reason why I think there needs to be a web app or cast of the screen to phone/tablet. Yes Roon and Jriver etc you can see what you are playing, but when spinning a disc I can see wanting to see that info and its super small.
If the following is the inside of a Mk 2:
Why do we have to have such a small screen ? Why not have an option to have a larger front aperture and a larger front screen? I canāt believe that any extra electrical noise wouldnāt be offset by the usability improvements.
apparently, screens can be noisyā¦more screen more noise
so they say
Paul also seems to be an advocate of having your electronics at your side with a long XLR run to the power amps which would be close to the speakers, again for better sound.
GUIs as well as manuals are not a PS Audio strong point.
I chuckle every time someone on this forum (not picking on you) mentions that display screens can be noisy. How ironic is that, given the thousands of posts on the forum dealing with the noisiness of PSA products, most of which donāt have a display of the type described as noisy???
beverage
Ouch!!!
The last few posts have mentioned the āsmall sizeā of display regarding volume and other items in the display.
This and other matters are why I started the āMk2 Manual updateā thread.
So, anything that owners feel relevant to display size, etc. please feel free to add them to that thread.
Thank you.
Do other DACs have displays with which you are satisfied?
I admit to paying little attention to displays when shopping for audio equipment.
Didnāt Ted say if you dim the screen, you eliminate noise?
If USB noise in the MK1 was eliminated by galvanic isolation, would that work for screens?
I think its more proximity noise than anything. People put metal barriers behind the old one.
