Ha! Mine has its moments as well. After visiting them I appreciate my system more.

My ETA is this Saturday, but I will not be home during FedEx’s normal delivery window in my neighborhood. So I had it redirected to a local Walgreens that has FedEx Home Delivery pickup. Rather have it delivered somewhere than it going out on the truck, getting taken back off the truck, and then having to get loaded back on a truck on Monday. Besides the chance that somewhere in between all that it’d wind up getting used as a doorstop.

Yes, I am not going to go the 30 minutes or so it might take for me to pick it up (I live in the boonies)–I think as W states mine will likely be delayed til Monday, as that often happens (last FedEx I waited for was delayed a day, twice) or just pay a few bucks to have it delivered Monday instead.

I predict you’re going to love it. The mkii is a fantastic DAC. Can’t wait to hear about it!

Thanks. I’m sure I will. And it will mean I can move my modded Mk1 over to my headphone system to replace my OG Mk1 which will go back to PS Audio in trade. Two upgrades in one.

I went ahead and changed the delivery to Monday.

For the 2nd time, I changed a Fedex delivery date and the package is in La La Land. Totally lost and the shipper had to put in a claim. Sad…

Attributable to initiating the change or FedEx incompetence in general. My initial intent was for lonson to not become overly concerned with a Sunday delivery as they are uncommon in my experience. Not so much for one to actually request a delivery change.

If they could afford me, I would consider it. :moneybag:

Delivery woes. FedEx. Oy. My Mk2 was originally slated for delivery Sunday. I was not able to be here all Sunday to sign for it, so I paid 11.55 to have it rescheduled for this morning. Of course no show, and there’s now an “operational delay” showing it is rescheduled for tomorrow. Tomorrow I have an hour long or so appointment with a finance officer an hour away from home. . . and I’m likely to miss the delivery. I’m trying to see if I can sign for it electronically. . . so far no definitive reply.

Sigh, first world problems for sure.

See what they will do for you since you paid for a reschedule already. Driving in from the boonies to do a pickup may be the best option. I drive 20 minutes one way when I have to do a FedEx pickup and that is all on heavily traveled streets.

I’ll just ride it out. I may get home before delivery tomorrow or I will get it on Wednesday. You know we’re in a different reality when USPS works better than other carriers–that’s my recent experience.

Google search for “FedEx Shipment Release Authorization Form” and leave one on your door. I have never had a driver not accept one.

Whenever i have those timing issues I have them hold at FedEx office and pick up on my time. Depends on office hours and how close you live to that office.

Fedex told me for 3 days it was arriving Saturday, even received email Sat. at 6:30 pm…then at 7:00 an email saying it was not coming, arrival and whereabouts unknown…all day it had been 400 miles away…yes, they should know it’s not on the delivery truck…finally arrived Tuesday

I have, but only for Direct Signature shipments (when I’ve tried it). Wasn’t a neighborhood issue, as at the time I lived in one of the quietest, safest neighborhoods surrounded by similar communities. Indirect Signature items were, however, dropped off with said document. I guess it may be driver’s prerogative to some degree.

Thank you. That is what FedEx didn’t tell me. I’ll put one on the door tomorrow.

Yes, if I lived closer I would but it’s not worth it for me. The closest place I have gone to in the past. . . last time I waited in line and bit my tongue as three customers around me were telling lie after lie about a certain election. It was hard but I just left them with their untruths.

I received my MK2 this AM from FedEx. I ordered 1/24 and it’s even here early.

Well, PSA is pretty consistent; I also ordered 1/24 and the unit arrived today. The email from FedEx said it would probably arrive between 9:30 and 1:30. Well, at 8:15, while I was in the shower, the doorbell rang. I was frustrated at missing the delivery and decided to check on the porch to make sure the driver hadn’t left the box (indirect signature was required). Well, there it was. Porch piracy isn’t a big problem in my neighborhood but still, with something this expensive . . . .
