Yes it’s crazy how much the market price went up for the Oppo units after they quit making them.

Hi , I did the oppomod LPS upgrade to my 205 and 103D . The mod turned them into fantastic
CD and SACD players all the grain and harshness is gone. It was well worth doing IMO, I cannot speak for the video quality my display is only an old 1080p . I am waiting for it to crap out so I can upgrade.

Hi, I wish I could help you with the i2s card I have not done that mod yet and don’t know if I will be.I have a DMP that I’m very happy with the LPS mod on both my units was a fantastic upgrade I know other people had success with the card I believeIf you email Oppomod they will be able to give you help with it.

Well my Oppomod I2S board arrived safely posted all the way from Korea a few days ago. Unfortunately the 2nd UDP-203 I bought from a Texan a week prior to the I2S card remains in USPS limbo. This 203 earmarked for the I2S modification is already equipped with the Oppomod LPSE and Disc stabilizer mods along with a Furutech IEC so I’m very much looking forward to its safe arrival. So far it has taken 3 weeks for the package to transit from USPS facilities in Austin TX to Chicago IL with no new tracking info since the 4th. Holy shirtballs, is the US postal system messed up right now. Is it gonna take another 3 weeks to make the 8 hour drive from Chicago, across the border to me in Southern Ontario? The entire delivery should have been wrapped up within a week!

I have a package from the Netherlands that went to Chicago then to SAN ANTONIO and then back and forth to SAN ANTONIO and now I think it is on its way to SAN ANTONIO after which it will go to SAN ANTONIO. I’m guessing. It’s been over a month. Bah.

I got my i2s card in a week from Oppomod in Virginia. I had a bad experience however. After installing without second ribbon cable I could listen to cds well; but no SaCD. I wrote the maker and he said to connect second ribbon cable for SaCD; I did that and left the top off to test. Saw flames come out from original ribbon cable and then the board is shot. Optical out still works.

I had an issue with my first Oppomod I2S board. It may of been my fault as I was trying several HDMI cables doing a lot of plugging and unplugging. I contacted Lee he sent out a new board works perfect! Make sure your settings are correct on the Oppo. What ever the case may be, Lee at Oppomod is a great guy to work with and he won’t leave you with a bad board!

Well, I wasn’t expecting it to combust, so the camera was not ready. It ended quickly. Made a pfffst sound.

The EMI bloackage -Ferrite cores on power lines?
From experience I know this works very well, why didn’t I think of that one…?
