DSD computer playing & usb bridge to i2s, to listen music on Ps Audio Dac

Ok, I have try to understand how to? but I don’t get it? sorry

So Help?

What do i use to listen music from my computer to be in I2s?

Also, If i want to play in DSD, what do I do, with my computer to make it work?

thanks for any help, you could provide? I have check sonore, but there is so many device!

Just want a simple solution, without multiplying device, is it possible?

the rest is finally all set up and work great.

thanks

ps, just a verification, on my gain cell dac, it always show 48khz sampling, even if i change all in the computer, the only thing it saw is 48?

Also for updating driver does Stellar DAC does it equal Stellar DAC gain cell?

or the Stellar Gain cell, is not supported anymore?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news: although your dac has an I2S input, for sure your computer doesn’t have an I2S port to output that signal. Without an additional device, it wouldn’t work.

Next, if you wanted to playback DSD from your computer, you would need files in the DSF format. These can also be transferred to your dac over USB.

As for the sampling rate, did you check the dac settings? I pressume, these should be set to auto, or similar.

From what I see, the Stellar is a newer version than the Gain Cell and they’re not the same. I can’t find any firmware in the Gain Cell dac. So, if you’re really interested, find your current firmware version and call on PSA to find if you’re having the latest version.

Hey, thanks

So what gizmo, I use to proceed USB to i2s? what gizmo?

already a HiBy USB to SPDIF coax in Dop

DSF files, I will investigate!

Sample rate, no setting for that, only 3 phase in the DAC set up

Could not perform myself DaC firmware update, email sent to PS, now, I have to wait!

the gain cell DAC, is also an analogue preamp, so a good waiting tool, until I stack enough $$ for an stellar preamp and a stellar gold dac..!

Maybe Airlens, could do that? but another learning curve there and since i learn more, no purchase!

but, until I have found and also learn how to proceed with my computer and NAS, everything will stay that way*!*

….maybe a powerplant upgrade, maybe…

found this Azon:

???, i guess, it will do, but an 85$ to manage a 10k$ HiFi, doesn’t fit right to me in my thinking?

Matrix converter

Software program documentation

But on the other hand, it is only code, so as long as the integrity of the code stays ok, it should do!

for test, cheap way to verify that and also cheap gizmo to try! if gamer like it, than, it should not be so bad…?

Ali my Gizmo Friend, where there is a will, there’s a way

Banzai! but….?

does the pinout is the right one?

???

I dont know the SMSL device. I do use a Matrix Audio X-SPDIF 2 with my Stellar Gain Cell DAC and it works great fed by USB from my streamer. They can be found used easily as the Matrix has a version 3 out now.

If you are using a Mac - check audio midi settings in utilities and change the sample rate there.

Before PSA PST, I used a similar converter (cheap) from a Oppo 205 player to DS MK1. The sound sucked to put it simply. You will hear SACDs sounding not better and probably worse than CDs.

Something like this is better, but not the best:
