DSD downloads. Which format to purchase?

When a choice of DSD download formats are available, which should I purchase?



I have seen DSF and DFF plus DSD64 and DSD128 on different sites.



I plan on doing DoP on DVD and play back on a PWT to the Direct Stream.



Will all of these formats work?

DSF supports metadata editing and you can use J River (for example) to edit them. The rate is up to you, but some devices do not support both rates. My understanding is that PS Audio’s new DSD DAC will support both rates. Currently the PWT only supports DSD64 via DoP. This is because DSD128 via DoP requires a 384K PCM capable device and the current PWT specification only goes up to 192K PCM.
