I have a chance to pick up a Duet for a reasonable price but as they are out of production, I was wondering how the serviceability is on them? I recall there being some issues with them and was hoping that any component that may be problematic would still be available for replacement either by PS, or by the end user?

Well, they are and they aren’t. The Duet and Quintets used a power cartridge that had all the electronics and when we had stock of these they were easy to replace in the case of problems. Unfortunately after all these years we no longer stock or are able to repair the power cartridges. That’s the bad news.
The good news is they hardly ever fail.
