Has anything stayed endgame for more than a year?
I suppose it depends on what it is. I have Marantz 10b and 150 tuners. The 10b was my Fatherās. He bought it in 1965. Iāve lost track how long I have had the 150ā¦30+ years. Both are 9/10 physically and the electronics, display and lighting fully restored by me. I use them both regularly. We have a great local Jazz station that I could stream. But I love the way they sound.
In my workshop is my Fatherās 1966 MC275. Restored of course, twice now.
Also, as my office desk speakers I have ProAc Tablette 10 Signatures. I have had them since 2018. I consider them part of my permanent collection. I donāt intend to replace them during my lifetime. They sound so good.

My endgame started in July, so ask me again by next July if my endgame has changed. 
But I want to exclude cables, because there is no endgame there.
Iām an explorer. There is no perfect piece so not sure how one would define āendgameā. But itās a fun hobbyā¦.

Very modest. Philharmonic Audio original BMR monitors in Salk front ported boxes that just celebrated their 7th b-day. The silliest is an Optimus STA-300 receiver and Realistic Minimus 7 speaker desktop setup in use from 1990 until a couple of years ago when the receiver began showing it age. Thereās a Sprout in its place until itās restored - a retirement project when time allows. Everything else is on the bubble or heading for the door.
Not one particular thing but one particular end game brand.
Over the years Iāve tried many brands, but roughly 20 years ago I tried Pass Labs and just saw no reason to look elsewhere. (During that period I still tried other mfrs out of curiosity)
Iāve had most of his preamps, many amps both Class A and AB, stereo, monoblock and the sound works for me. And the reliability is non pareil ; never a single failure.
I would say that āend gameā for me would be Pass Labs.
Never say never, but for the past two weeks I felt I was enjoying the music, not the system every time I turned it on. Everything sounded just right, and I do not remember when the last time was the sound so āmusicalā. The rapid upgrading for the past two years did it, but Gryphon D333 nailed the coffin on my restless pursuit.
I am still waiting for SNA Takshaka bi-wire speaker cables, and a reliable source told me this is a great one. The pair will replace Fidelium SC that I liked a lot. However, with a number of rich-sounding power cords such as Stealth Dream, CG, Takshaka, and their own XLR interconnects introduced, I noticed the SC making the system sounding a bit too warm. Fidelium SC matched with AQ Dragons and ZenWave PSR much better (cooler sounding). I hope SNA Takshaka will sound as good as what their PC brought to my system, then I am done with cables for a while. But as I said, there is no endgame in cables.
Endgame
When I ordered my Commander its list price was $10k less than it is now, not including tariffās. A similar story for the Apex. I imagine those two pieces with tariff are possibly $40K higher.
So Diablo 333 is the new tip top.
In your opinion. I believe there is. At least until another upgraded version comes out. lol

Sakra V17 XLR is the last interconnect anyone who uses XLR will ever need. Endgame!
A Dragon once peered down from that very same mountain.
There was a previously unknown taller mountain.
The Reserve Mountain I am on is between Dragon Mountain and Sakra Mountain in height.
I hear that Sakra Gold Mountain is even higher, but I have not climbed either Sakra or Gold Mountains.
Iām too tired to climb mountains, and Iām happy with staying at little mountain now.
Iāve had the Sakra Gold for a few weeks on loan. They do outperform the V17LE. Whether the extra juice is with the squeeze is another matter.
I found my golden cable, and with a much cheaper price tag.
I hope I will get my Takshaka speaker cables by the end of month. If they beat my Fidelium, then I will find my next IC too. 
My AI stock has gone up like crazy since April, but I am prudent now on spending stupid money on cables. I plan to give my daughter a fat gift since I will be a grandad soon for the first time. Their offer of a nice first home in NY was accepted too. That is great since we do not need to stay in hotels on future visits.
Never to me.
I never had DragonXLR. I did have the opportunity to compare AQ Firebird XLR to Sakra V17 and imo the AQ cable didnāt come close.
