ENO/MUON Ethernet Filters for Streaming Audio

We just used the cables that came with the units that go from the filter to the streamer.

Of course the cables could have made a difference. Too bad they didn’t try it with the same cables to really just check the performance of the filter.

You are hard to please.

No cables make no difference!!! The filter is better.

FYI/ The output cable is fixed on the Muon Pro.

Yes, I know and the input cable was the same? You can change that.

The input cable we used for both was a standard shielded ethernet cable 5’ long and a standard shielded ethernet cable 15’ long from the router to the switch.

We are sure using the tempus switch and the additional 1.5 meter Muon Pro cable would improve everything, but we’re not willing to go the additional $5,500 to $6,000 for them.

Then again we never thought we would ever spend $1,700 on an ethernet filter.

We have to say this, Network Acoustics is a class act all the way, from shipping to how everything is packaged, quality every step, great products with great results, and easy to deal with, our refund on the Eno2 was immediate
also, Rob answered all of our questions quickly and professionally.

“Thanks, that was what I wanted to hear. Then the requirements were the same with the same input cable. Just my guess - the fixed output cable on the muon pro and the ENO cable look the same to me. The Muon streaming cable also seems to have a thick screen. If so, the muon per filter has a greater effect.
Thank you, greetings Andreas.”

FYI/ in our system there was no A/B ing needed to tell the Muon Pro was the way to go.

I’ll experience it myself soon and then give my feedback. There are a lot of new things coming into the house
I wanted to be like Donald once. I had almost forgotten the Auva 100
I’m curious to see which of the 3 new purchases that are currently outstanding will come first.

You can be me twice, and I do not mind. :tropical_drink:

I was referring to the short time between changes in the system. It’s difficult to judge what does what.

With either the ENO2 or the Muon Pro every system will noticeably benefit. It’s interesting that even my most „doubtful“ friends having various, different systems were positively surprised about the improvements the NA filters made.
So wishing everyone a happy time with them.

If you choose to use it that way. I prefer the sound of the Muon Pro filter reversed. Filter close to switch longer cable going to streamer. Try it out you might be surprised.

Network Acoustics also said try it reversed in some cases it’s better.

We’ll have to check that out.

Thank you

It’s worth a shot. The reverse of the manufacturer’s recommendation is my choice as well. The brief time I had the PowerZone, however, there was so much change that my baseline got bashed. Can’t wait to see what the Muon Pro cable and filter orientation becomes.

It’s a trial and error process.

When I was using the PhoenixNET switch I liked the Muon Pro upstream, while since I added the Tempus I like it downstream.

I initially used the short fixed cable inserted into the Tempus, but I ended up using it in the opposite direction (short end into the server/streamer).

It also depends on the non-fixed Ethernet cable used, I liked the Muon Pro close to the switch with the STEALTH ULTRA while I prefer it close to the server/streamer with the Pink Faun Interlink.

Having said that, once you find the right combination you can forget about it for a while.

I can’t believe it, tomorrow it will be exactly one month since I added/updated anything to my system
I mean, a whole month without any kind of changes
 nothing
 just music every single day!

And there are no current orders to be delivered either!

Is it PowerZone fever? Am I getting old? I actually have a plan in mind that is keeping me up at night, it has to do with the room

I believe the powerzone will be the final frontier for you. No more discoveries just audio bliss!

I switched my MUON Pro back to backwards. Then I started spinning vinyl. But now I am streaming what I played on vinyl. Sigh. Poor planning on my part. Streaming vs. vinyl, no contest. Not even close.

Whew, listening to music I didn’t just play on vinyl is enjoyable. I inserted an M-2 fuse in each ear.
Ahhhhhhhh.

I’ll be able to test it myself soon. It looks like my last 3 orders are neck and neck. My inbox with messages announcing the shipments is quite confusing. Maybe the difference in sound could be due to the short cable on the muon pro? Even NA writes one thing about its cables A certain length increases the sound quality. This is probably due to the wave resistance of a cable. If the cable is too short, the signal will likely be reflected in the cable. I didn’t think of that when I ordered otherwise I would have asked if the fixed connection cable could be made longer. Maybe 1 to 1.5 meters. Has NA already checked this option to see if it makes a difference? For other cables, whether power or connecting cables, a minimum length is also recommended. Gallen could perhaps also tell us something about the optimal length and sensitivity to interference of a cable?
