European(Netherlands) powerplug connection

Hello all PS SPROUT users,

I’m waiting for my new SPROUT to arrive. I ordered it from Amazon. I’m really looking forward to it .

One question: Is there a powerplug converter for European (Netherlands) use included or do I need to buy one? And what kind of converter do you suggest for the SPROUT?

I hope you all have some suggestions.

I assume you ordered a 220 volt version? Sprout, like other audio equipment with removable power cords, benefits from a good quality power cable. My suggestion would be to get a decent after-market cable that comes with the right plug.

Hello,

Yes, the post is correct, Sprout ships standard with a nice power cord. For the Netherlands you will need to buy a 230V unit, and that comes with a standard Schuko power cord.

Hi All,

I was so exited when I received my Sprout today, but I accidently bought myself a 120V unit through Amazon and I live in The Netherlands(europe 230V). What now?

Can I use it here, must I send it back, are there other options?

If I have to send it back, where can I purchase a Sprout 230V version then?

I really hope you can help me…

Hello Robin,

Yes, you will need a 230V unit to use in The Netherlands. Please do NOT plug your 120V unit in, as it may become damaged.

The unit will have to be returned to Amazon, and then, if you’d like to buy a 230V unit, I would suggest buying from here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/sprout-a-compact-all-in-one-stereo-amplifier#/ and selecting the $499 International Option which is buying option #3.

Alternately, I would suggest reaching out to our distributor in Belgium (who serves the Benelux Region) who quite likely has stock. The email address is info@aspera-audio.com

thanks for your reply.

I’ve send my SPROUT back to Amazon.

I already contacted Aspera Audio. They were very helpful. When I get my money back from Amazon, they will order a 230V unit for me. Without any profit for them. I think that’s really customerfriendly! Very Nice people.
