Eversolo streamers - anyone clone library to the M2 drive?

If you have an Eversolo streamer, you might have figured out that you can add an M2 memory stick to the unit. I added one, and I copied over my library when I got it, using a little USB drive that I temporarily attached to the back of the unit. (This is one of the drives I use for regular backups.)

But I’ve added tons of files to my library since then, and I’d like to be able to easily/automatically/regularly copy over new files.

I’m on a mac, and I use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy files that I’ve ripped to my backup drives, but I can’t seem to load the SMB_samba drive from the Eversolo to the CCC destinations. Would love to add that to the nightly schedule to clone the library to that drive.

Anyone figured this out? (I feel like @aangen might have! :slightly_smiling_face: )

I can see the SMB_samba drive, but it only shows a “share” folder, and nothing else. Permissions issue? (To clarify, the “SMB_samba” drive is the eversolo MMC drive, and I can see it from the Mac Mini that houses the music library.)

To be fair, I hardly ever use that drive to play music, but I like the idea of having one more backup. And if my roon server gets flaky or whatever, I can use the eversolo app and have an alternate way to play the files.

I did it once, and then took out. I have a NAS and its always there. Roon uses it. All systems use it. If I had remote place no internet or access to NAS, sure would make sense.

I copied from NAS to drive just to see how it worked and then sent it back to amazon as I had no value for it.

I put a 4TB M2 in my A6. Using Windows I have no problem connecting to it for file management. It is in one of my cabin systems. No NAS there. It works nicely.

I think i figured it out.

Within Eversolo’s settings for that M2 drive, there’s a place to require a password. I set to OFF.

Now I can see the drive, and I have Carbon Copy Cloner starting the clone task. We’ll see if that works.
