James, as you suggested, I converted some AIFF files (96/24 & 88.2/24) to WAV - the WAV tracks play fine on the USB drive.
So, in the short term I’ve have to do the conversions so I can play my downloaded (purchased) music. I have shut down my older server setup as the PST is so much better. I am really enjoying playing CD/SACD discs again. I used Roon for a couple of years and it does not provide the same level of information as the booklets in the CD cases.
