We are on it!
I have been in your shop and know you all are working hard to please your customers. My thanks and best wishes for a wonderful 2021.
Well, I expected it to work perfectly. It looked perfect before powering it up. I have a possessed drawer (opens and closes on its ownâŠvideos to show PSA) and the unit insists on âreadingâ even beofre a disc is in. In fact, the drawer wouldnât open until rebooting on the 4th time (I used the manual at that point to emergency open). Hate to be the barer of bad news and Iâm sure PSA will make it right soon. This is the first malfunctioning experience Iâve had after having had a multitude of PSA units in my system at one time or another (from most recent to furthest back: M1200, SPP, P3, DSD, P12, Dectet).
Again, Iâm not losing my cool on NYE FFS. Cheers!
Consider yourself very blessed with you track history previous to the PST. Not everyone can say the same.
PST, mine arrived today, a day early. Thanks Fedex. Thanks James.
First five minutes, thereâs no sound. It was unhappy with the connection possible with my WW Platinum HDMI. I tried my Harmonic Technology Magic. No magic.
Then finally the PSA HDMI that came with my DMP. Yay. Sound! I listened for a few minutes, then refitted my Magic cable.
So now the thing is in my rack for maybe 20 minutes, still ice cold from delivery and it sounds much better than the DMP; noticeably more detail and dimension. And the tray feels and sounds smooth and silky. A keeper.
Also, I like the esthetic although I would have even left off the track timer. More to come after a few days of settling in.
Just sayinâ you should always let cold gear adjust to room temp on its shelf with nothing plugged in overnight at least.
I always waited at least 12 hours od âdefrostingâ before connecting any cable.
Thatâs just me

Ha! I see an expenditure in your future, Lon.
Right now Iâm listening at low volume, 46 to 62 db according to my db thingy and the dynamics are remarkable. (Bill Charlap, Notes From NY)
Cool. I would if I could and will if I can do the expenditure. . . but itâs not in the near future. But I do trust your ears and understand how you listen and this means . . . damnit Ron.
The PST has been working hard the last few days and itâs a very nice , very easy to hear upgrade in sound quality.
Rather than wade thru the audiophile glossary, Iâll just say itâs more of everything; a worthwhile investment in my system.
One issue is the finicky I2S connection. It will take the old standard-issue PSA hdmi cable flawlessly. But others, as Iâve mentioned earlier must be dead-on. No such problem with my old DMP. Weird.
But the old PSA cable is a real loss in sq over the Wireworld or HT Magic, so I hold my breath when I go near it.
Do you have the HT Magic copper or silver?
copper
You will definitely will get better sonics with the HT and WW HDMI. I have
had both with no issues on the DMP and now have the RAL on the PST.
Your comments on the PST were like mine, an easy one when you just want to
listen rather than analyze. Everything is better.
How is that RAL as far as noticeable improvement?
The RAL is the best I have heard. It got into my stable after I started to
stockpile the discontinued WW Platinum but gave the RAL a go after your
recommendation. Now you are twisting my head on power cables after
recently going all Shunyata V1. Please stop.
Sorry. If I wasnât doing a full loom of Stealth Audio cables I would probably be swapping V1 Shunyata cables for V2. I might try a couple of V2âs anyway as they are cheap compared to Stealth.
I was considering selling the RAL that hooks up to my DSD Sr. as I was thinking setting it aside. But now I am considering the PST even though I have a perfectly wonderful Jayâs Audio transport.
I dunnoâŠ
Nice space. Love the (low back) couch.
Enjoy.
Danke. Prost!
Have not tried the Jayâs transport but the PST far exceeds the DMP.
This switch is the cost of one of your Stealth cords. It significantly
reduces the long standing gripes about digital.
