Not available on Qobuz or Tidal apparently…?
Oh yeah. She doesn’t like streaming…you have to purchase from her website…
10-4.
Thanks.
I’ll have to look into this. After the amazing reviews her Data Lords project got, I bought a copy. Not sure I understand it all, but it’s interesting, and the sound is great.
“Russ Freeman/Richard Twardzik Trios” Pacific Jazz/EMI Superbit Jazz Classics LP facsimile cd
A nice piano trio(s) disc to start off the day. Both pianists are different, but fit well together on one disc.
I can’t tell you why but this is one of my favorite first of the day albums.
I struggled with Data Lords. The Thompson Fields release is wonderful, and her earlier releases are also worth finding,
Similar experience here as well, Data Lords was a no go. Maybe I need to give it a second listen.
David Sánchez “Obsesión” Columbia cd
A jazz orchestral Latin excursion for the first spin of the day. I’ve not spun this one in a while–fascinating to realize this was released 25 years ago.
Dr. Lonnie Smith Turning Point, 1969 soul-jazz featuring Lee Morgan, Bennie Maupin, Melvin Sparks, Julian Priester, and Leo Morris. Kicking off this set with See Saw followed by Slow High, a fine way to start a sunny Tuesday, I’m in the groove.
Haven’t pulled this one from the stacks for a while.
Michele Rosewoman Trio “Occasion To Rise” Evidence cd
with Rufus Reid and Ralph Peterson
Stefon Harris “Black Action Figure” Blue Note cd
Starting the day off with a recording that has it all. . . horns, quartet, swing, funk, introspective rumination.
