Another reason to dislike the blob, you can no longer see the thread title without scrolling all the way to the top. I sometimes mindlessly go through threads, read something and look to see what thread I’m in. A simple short scroll up would bring the title into view: no longer. Fight the blob!

Even in windows chrome it now takes back to home page. How do you refresh?
Its broke, assuming @Elk will let the right people know. Its also ugly, and from a marketing standpoint thats not good either.

Looks like they’re halfway there. The blob is now thankfully gone but when you hit the blue thingy to refresh it brings you to an intermediary page and then you have to pick Categories to get back to the regular Forum page.
Baby steps but it’s progress.

it’s back (on mobile) as it should be (and has been for months).
this is good and appreciated.
one request only now, can the blue blob take us to forum top in mobile dark mode version instead of “octave records” please?

Fixed in Desktop version (dark mode) too - and the desktop version the blue blob does link to the forum top

Only remaining issue I think is this:
Desktop dark mode seems all fixed.
Mobile site (on iphone), if using Safari directly or as a “desktop web app”, default forum page is “octave records” topic, and if I’m not logged in (so I get “light mode”) it seems (on mobile) to still take me to sales site too.
Could be some caching going on though, so I will give it a few hours whilst I sleep and when I return for US afternoon/evening I’ll do a proper check on each platform I have and sumarise any issues I find.
Why? As a service to the folks here, and because I’ve been bored at night of late apart from when spinning records, and because I used to do a bit of this in my last couple of jobs (the testing of sites, not the creation of - I haven’t created web sites since the days when you could do it on “vi” or “notepad” )
Any issues I find I’ll sumarise in a message rather than here.

The one thing I did like about the recent white blob (OK did not like the white rectangular bar) was that it had a link to the PS Audio home page

Ok all works as it did up until yesterday for me -
Dark mode, logged in, “desktop site” perfect when used in browser, scrolling is a bit flakey on iPad in “desktop web app mode” only (which I stopped using for this reason).
Dark mode, logged in, “mobile site” almost perfect, just the default page is still “octave records” topic.
Checked on Linux PC with Firefox, and iPad iOS 16 for “desktop site” on Safari main browser and “desktop web app”.
Checked on iPhone se iOS 15, and se2, iOS 16 for “mobile site”.
