I appreciate everyone who has responded, and encourage anyone reading this to post about the clarity and resolving abilities of the Aspens. As I stated before…The Aeris is just a tad too warm so I am strongly considering the FR 30’s.

Are off the charts good. But I will be honest that interconnect plays a crucial role in this too. Front Row Reserve interconnect, in addition to the Levinson gear, upped my system to another level that simply wasn’t there with AQ MacKenzie as the interconnect
Agreed. You are spending enough on speakers to easily justify the cost of a trip.
I believe FR30 will work just fine for your room size. FR30 is very resolving, and it will show case the good (and the bad) SQ from better components. Detail is a strong suit on FR30 too. I hear SQ difference from footers and tweaks easily, and for sure on cables. The sound is very neutral, provided that your components and cables sound neutral too.
Beware of the trap - I bought a pair of FR20s in October ‘23 during a similar sale to what PS Audio is offering them at today. They were a very nice upgrade when compared to the Ohm T2000s they replaced. My room is too small for the FR30s so I went with the 20s.
The trap - Since purchasing the FR20s I have upgraded every component, cable and accessories to the tune of 12x the cost of the FR20s and the FR20s keep rewarding with better and better performance. The FR20s totally obliterate the old rule of thumb “spend 40% of your budget on speakers”. When I bought the FR20s they were about 60% of my system cost now they are like 8%.
Good speakers are addicting, you want to keep giving them more and more. Be warned!
True dat. I had a similar speaker to system cost ratio back in the day with Magnapan 1.7’s and PSA gear. Good speakers get even better with good gear and cables.
The suggestion of a trip to Boulder is a good one. I was fortunate that Paul and Chris came to me, but I had to be an early FR30 adopter 
. Since that time I have easily spent more on components and cables each and the FR 30’s reveal these upgrades.
Not to put this thread off track, but if subs are a future consideration, the FR 20’s with a couple of the new subs could be a consideration. Same mid and top as the 30’s with potentially better bass. But,
If you stay with the 30’s, the bass does just fine by me. More a matter of a good room and solid amplification.

Thanks for all the input. I think I’m reading that the sound of the FR 30’s is airy & detailed and not particularly warm and rolled off. This is what I am looking for. I am not in a position to make the trip to PS Audio. Thanks for all the input, and please continue if anyone has more to add.
The wide dispersion planar drivers, and the adjustable rear firing tweeter add to the “air” that you desire.
Curious if anyone has compared the FR20 with a pair of subs to the FR30 with no subs…
I have the FR20’s with a sub and am in heaven. I haven’t heard the FR30’s in a home environment in a while

Ok, I feel shamed … thanks buddy. 
I have FR20, but my room is much smaller so the FR30 was not an option for me. I am very happy with my FR20. They replaced Vandersteen Model 5 which were very nice speakers, but they are about 25 years old (now serving in the “reserves” at a vacation home). The planar midrange and tweeter in the Aspen speakers is the real key to their wonderful sound. Not to downplay the woofers, they’re real nice too. Chris Brunhaver is a real treasure!
I will add that there is a wide range of speaker voicing in the industry. Getting a listen to them before purchasing is recommended. I got to hear the FR30 at PS Audio when they were just being released (March 2021 if memory serves me). The pair I heard weren’t even a production sample, but were essentially the same sound wise. I was hooked and have not regretted my decision one whitt.
FR30 owner here…
I’m Extremely pleased with it’s performance in my room which also doubles as a HT… The room also has been professionally treated with absorbers, diffusers and bass traps.
My FR30s were first paired with the McIntosh flagship integrated amp, the MA12000. A sublime and musical combo that I was very pleased with. Just something ethereal about what they shared. The FR30’s midrange is amazing!
After about two years, I decided to move the MA12000 to my home office and paired the FR30s with a Gryphon 333 and the Gryphon PowerZone… An Astounding combo! More detail, focus and control of the bass. The MA12000 probably had a wider soundstage… but the imaging of the Gryphon 333 and PowerZone is just insane with the FR30s! One thing I definitely would add to the FR30s (or FR20s for that matter), are Stack Audio’s footers… the AUVA 100s. This will just elevate the bass and it’s attack to a new level. After hearing the improvement, those are definitely not coming off.
I really don’t think you could go wrong with either the FR20s or FR30s… but if you have the room for it… Go Big or Go Home is what I decided. No regrets here.

You spent well on “you will never need better” gear. A big step, but an excellent result. Donald dragged his feet a bit, but he is there too. Its a nice place.
I am sad there is no reason for me to buy a 333. But I want to! 333 with a PowerZone is a crucial combination. Add Bacch to taste.

This combo put me into un-official retirement from upgrades (since official retirement does not exist in this rabbit hole).
I strongly recommend Stack AUVA 100, and you will be happier!
The only thing that bugs me is that @waymanchen11 brags about his SR Galilo ethernet cable, and I never tried any of the SR products other than fuses (and sold them promptly). NO! I cannot go there. I am unofficially done!
I thought I could rest one day from music by watching Ryder Cup, but the US team sucked big time again. I am back to listening to music.
I just added the tip top of the line Stealth Ethernet cable to my system. I heard nothing new. Sigh.
I put it between my modem and my router, no change.
That is reassuring, I have not heard much difference from ethernet cables in my system too (after Gryphons). Sigh.
