Welcome to the PSA Party, and the forum.

Congratulations on your new speakers.

Welcome to the PSA Forum. Adding the FR20 speakers is the tip of the iceberg so to speak. Many have pursued component upgrades based on their FR20 experience. You will find excellent advice from that very special group of FR20 aficionados.

Great space/aesthetic!

Can we sneak a peak at the back of the room?

Interested in the rest of your HT set up…

Regards.

Congrats on the FR20’s. They are fantastic, just fantastic. If you ever go down the slippery slope, a.k.a. rabbit hole, with this hobby, the FR20’s will keep on getting better, as one keeps on improving the components in the system (DAC, pre and power amps), the FR20’s will reward you with even more refinement and resolution.

Component upgrade would be a good idea to show the full potential of the great FR20, I would suggest getting a PSA Powerplant too.

My FR20s replaced Ohm Walsh T2000s a little over a year ago.

Since then I have replaced every component and cable in my system, somethings twice. The FR20s just keep getting better and better. They sounded awfully good when I first got them but no comparison to how they sound today.

The FR20s were a gateway drug for me and I have spent multiples of their costs upgrading everything else since they reward me each time.

The FR20s were a great choice!

From someone who hasn’t heard any of them I think the case could be made that the FR20 might just be the sweet spot in the entire line.

Having heard them all multiple times (granted, at shows) I would have to agree! But the 5’s are nothing to sneeze at, either, for their size. :slightly_smiling_face:

Welcome to the forum! I’m glad you’re enjoying the speakers so much.

What does that last graph represent?

Beautiful room!

Welcome Joachim, and IMO smart move.

A pair of the FR20’s are available at TMR, for anyone interested. And no, not my FR20’s, which are safely at home, for many, many years…

anyone know how do they compare to B&W 803d4?

The flat panel ribbon midrange and flat panel ribbon tweeter of the FR20 are wonderful, just wonderful, assuming one likes a clean & open sound

Better than the Dynaudio tweeters? Windering are thes PS Audios made in Colorado?

They are custom designed in Colorado. They are custom manufactured in China (not mass-produced off the shelf, but custom made)

I see - similar to Dynaudio now then… wonder if the ribbon tweeter beats Dynaudio’s…
