PowerPlay is still not showing my P10 despite being properly registered and showing a green globe on the front screen.
I see you have it registered under the correct S.N. so that’s good. From here, it seems it doesn’t have great communication with our servers. To start, I would completely power cycle your network and the P5.
Nothing else on my network (which has a lot on it) is having issues and other than a dhcp reservation I put in for it, the unit has been fully power recycled several times and has server based equipment that I’d rather not have to power down any more times than needed. I reregistered it exactly the same way I did the first time.
Even when it was showing up with the wrong linked address I was getting data being logged to the remote system at your end, it’s just the link on the P5 text would open a window that never loaded anything.
The web based GUI on the actual units IP address is working fine as far as I can tell. But I can’t edit any of the power delays.
I also updated to the latest firmware from the support section .46 iirc
And just to be sure, you have the little green globe at the top that indicates it’s connected? I’ll see if there is something we can do on our end.
@wizardofoz Alright, we have it sorted and you should see it populating in PowerPlay now.
@EaglesMan Do you have both your P5 and P10 hooked up to your network with the globe green on the display?
Indeed it is…thanks so much all looks like it did on my first attempt but the P5 link opens the correct IP address now.
Yes the green globe was showing up all the time.
Another question is it ok to leave a blank SD card in the back? Is this used for anything other than firmware updates?
Hi James… Yes! It’s working now. I only have my P10 connected to the Network and not the P5 so that’s why only the P10 is showing. Thanks much!
Feel free to reach out to our support team.
Looks like PowerPlay started collecting data as of 9/17/2020 based upon the CSV download from the PowerPlay site.
So does PSAudio do any proactive monitoring? Could I get an alert if they sense a problem? High operating temp. As an example?
We do not do any monitoring. Might be a nice someday feature if people don’t feel it would violate their privacy.
If you ever do decide to collect user data for any reason, the default should be that they need to specifically opt in to give you permission to use their data, and have an option to opt out later if they change their mind.
I agree. Privacy is extremely important and I think something like this would need to be set as default to not monitor.
I don’t know how much value there would be in this, but it would be cool if the user could set certain parameters and then the system would send a quick email. For example, if the internal temp got up to 53C, we could send an email notification letting the user know.
Be nice if one could also specify a date range to d/l CSV data or at least an option for just the last 7days
And a zoom in on the last 24hrs data in the graphs
It is easy to delete the excess in Xcel.
I note that power play hasn’t collected any data past Tuesday/Wednesday last week. I’m still able to remote control my P12 from my tablet.
My problem, or PS Audio’s?
Thanks! I did experience some sort of a power surge last week. Woke up to a flashing light on the P3. Reset both the P3 and the P12 (main switch power cycle) and everything seemed to go back to normal, but no more Powerplay data
Is it collecting data properly now?
No. Still showing no data
BTW, another weirdness is the powerplay option on the website dropdown comes and goes?
