Nice rack!
Congrats, it seems the materialization of hundreds of this forum’s threads!
STEALTH power cords included (@paul172).
That D333 + MU2 + PZ combo is really impressive, envy you…
You’re right, I owe this forum a big thank you!
Thanks everyone, especially Al, for your guidance.
I am totally envious!
It seems that you have taken up and implemented all of the recent recommendations here. The system certainly sounds fantastic. Now add Schnerzinger Grid Protector and EMI, an Ansuz Sortz in the Grimm MU2, modem and you have implemented the forum recommendations for the entire last year.
Is there still a NA Muon Pro somewhere?
You could say this is the PS Audio Forum Community system of the year.
Congratulations
Greetings Andreas
I’m expecting my 3.20 in a few weeks, so I’ll be writing my review too. I am also waiting for an Antileon EVO, replacing my T+A pa3100 hv. Will be playing dac direct via Lampi Poseidon. Excited.
Pretty much every piece of gear, cable or black box I own was discussed on this forum. I was waiting for the 333 to arrive before I got into the Schnerzie rabbit hole, or whatever is next.
The Muon Pro is behind the rack on the floor right now, not sure where it will end up - still dressing things out.
Being obsessed by symmetry I prefer not to give further suggestions on “dressing things out” in your room but I think you need to become more familiar with the “new” sound before moving gear around…
Donald, your wallet was already thin before your trip through the forum and your purchases.
Enjoy your vacation.
Understand and agree. It seems for the past year+ “dressing things” has been neglected in favor of getting better sound.
Your comment on symmetry got me thinking, putting the rack center stage would look much better. Biggest inhibitor would be a 4m Dream 2020 to reach the dedicated outlet, my current one is only 2.5m. In the meantime, letting things burn in and appreciating the “new” sound as it gets better and better.
If this required a 4 meter long cable, I would forego symmetry or install a new wall socket nearby.
Couple things. Moving an outlet is often easier than buying a longer cable. Any Dragon owner knows this, in particular.
Secondly, another C214 would help achieve better symmetry and might work better in your corners.
From the Opinions are Cheap corner.
Except when money doesn’t matter and a long cable doesn’t cause bankruptcy. Plug in ready without causing dust or dirt.
You can try using a standard extension cable from the hardware store or Amazon. Maybe it’s true that only the last meter makes the difference in sound.
I have found in the past that going to Home Depot and buying a 12/3 extension cable, plugging it into the wall, and plugging an audiophile power cord into it offers similar results as moving an outlet. It is cheap and easy to try. Maybe less than $30.
Keep calm and enjoy your new jewels!
One step at a time…
The room and set up require time and effort (but usually matter more than you thought possible).
I have done the same.
Also, is there some truth in the fact that the last meter is crucial?
When you think of all the commercial cable in the wall, and the fuses in the fuse box that precedes the final power cable that feeds the intended device, then this has to be.
If the ac cable is designed properly one of the technical benefits of using it should be to lower/eliminate any unwanted distortion from getting back into/onto the ac line feeding the system and components…
Having 115+ year old thick plaster walls, on this we disagree.
Moving an outlet is no simple matter. Securing a competent plasterer is even more difficult.
Drywall, well that is a different matter.
