Yeah, no kidding! Our dog was not happy last night.
We left the TV going fairly loud all night for our dog and it seemed to help.

we have a similar problem around november 5th (basically from september through to january) around here.
rather tiresome.
mind you at least for us it is not also at the height of forest fire/ brush fire/ heath fire season 
Guy Fawkes is marked by inexperienced persons using fireworks and causing all sorts of accidents every year
