As there’s still a Stellar series for cost cutting versions, I hope the Perfect Wave series doesn’t get too much of it.
Paul may need to replace his speakers soon
Good point. Ain’t exactly apples and oranges, but still valuable to listen through the streaming aspect (which is what I’ve mostly done with Qobuz). I’m pretty burnt out on Paul’s saved music.
Of course he can also choose these speakers …
He may have discovered that they will be finished by April…
Congratulations to PS audio with your new speaker - More love Denmark

Yes sure…the thing is… neither those who stream from a NAS, nor those who stream from online services need a server. That’s why I think for those there should be an option (pure streamer) on more or less the same level as the server.
Streaming online or from a NAS by using a server is wasted money (for the hard disk and the directly connected logic and measures)
Time will tell, until then my Innuos is fine for my streaming needs.
If you have the Zenith, you probably are set anyway.
If it would support Jriver and if there was a pure streamer, I would have struck already.
I bought a Zen Mk3 with 4TB SATA for about $2,500, purely as a Roon Server and Core, using the ethernet data output over a 25m fibre connection. At the same time I used it in another system as a Roon streamer to a usb DAC/integrated (the CXA81 - which is Roon Ready). I now use it with Innuos 2.0, which is excellent and was a free upgrade, plus with uPnP it works multi-room. Whilst I no longer use Roon, my wife does. PSA will do well to improve on the Innuos products!
Search for “Craig’s Ear Candy” playlists on Qobuz for some variety.
And Lumin. The Roon crowd loves them some Lumin.
So much yes - I stream from a NAS, and there is simply no need for me to have yet another server. In fact, I still waver about what streamer I want. I use a Raspberry Pi with an AES2Pi hat right now, until I can find the right one for me. But the right one for me doesnt have server functionality nor does it have a DAC. I am happy with both my NAS and my DAC. I seem to be in the minority according to audiophile companies
