For those interested in high quality playback directly from your iDevice I have the following tip;
Compile the following equipment:

And a nice set of headphones, preferably with moderate impedance.
The digital audio from your iDevice enters the powered USB hub, via the USB camera adapter so power will not be drawn from your iDevice (Apple error). The Hegel DAC is powered via the USB hub. The Hegel DAC also supports mini Toslink out for your HIFI.
I know that Apple does not give any guarantees, but it works on the latest IOS and Ipod Touch/iPad Air.
I hooked this gear up tonight and it plays with excellent SQ!
