Even though we’re in Phoenix, this is my Boxing Day Shopping (in other words, it came in the mail today). Awesome album not just sonically, but more important, musically !
Listening the LP ----> DSD rip…nice work once again Gus !

I always wanted a V15 Type MR (micro-ridge). Now I have one…LOL. Hey, if there’s space for future releases for a Vinyl rip (I never liked the term “Needle-Drop”), do it. Saves me the grief of going back into “The Black Hole” of Vinyl again. DSD Forever !!!
See my comment from today.
I realize I’m late with this question, but how does one access the “needle drop” tracks? On my SACD player and my CD player, only 10 tracks appear.
cd layer only has 10 tracks.
DSD layer has 20 tracks. 11 to 20 are needle drop
16 Tracks are listed when I drop the disc into my DMP and call up the tracks list on the screen.
If you check the back cover of the case, there is a note that says Tracks 11-20 are on the SA-CD layer.
This is strange. I’ll have to take a close look at my SACD player. I could have sworn I had seen those tracks, and listened to them, back when I first got the disc. Maybe a setting on the machine has gotten changed somehow.
Good luck.
Even though my player’s display said it was reading the SACD layer, I thought I’d test it by inserting a single-layer SACD. It read it correctly, so I took it out, and put Hey Joe back in, and now it’s showing all 20 tracks.
While it’s somewhat gratifying to know I’m not losing my mind when I recalled having seen these tracks before, I hope this isn’t a sign of trouble with the disc player. At the very least it makes me question which layer of most hybrid discs (that have the same number of DSD and redbook tracks) the machine is actually playing.
I am assuming your player does not have an SACD indicator or otherwise display the file type it is rendering(?).
“Even though my player’s display said it was reading the SACD layer…”
That’s what’s troubling about this. It said it was playing the DSD layer, but that there were only 10 files.
I got nothin’.

I had a Pioneer DV-587A that did the same thing.
