Am using the dip switch settings as given by holo. Here it is from their website
Hmm… that list is for Singxer SU-2 DDC, it is not for the Holo Red which only has 4 DIP switches.
Here is the relevant page from the actual Holo Red manual. I am using the ALT2 configuration for PS Audio I2S.
Oops sorry. Stand corrected
This is the information I needed! My Red is out for delivery!
Any other set-up tips?
Here is a link to the Red manual from KitsuneHiFi.
SR Purple fuse is a nice upgrade, experiment with how you feed it via Ethernet.
It showed up, thank you DHL. But I can’t find its IP address. It’s plugged in, both to my eero pod and the wall. Not showing up on my eero app or when I use an IP scanner tool. I also tried red.local as that was a suggestion on another forum. I recently set up something similar in the same way, so I’m not a complete idiot.
It’s probably time to give it a rest tonight as I’ve been working on this problem for the last 2 hrs.
interesting, look at my post on the STACK Link II. Same issue. I have EERO as well. going to plug into my Netgear Nightawk and see.
that did not work either. the router had red light on it. like its rejecting it. I plugged directly into the EERO in my office and it found it. I had to use EERO app to see IP. then from PC I could configure. I gave it a static IP. Going to move it and see if it works.
Good luck. It’s still not showing on the eero app for me
I did update my eero devices first. i did that a few weeks ago. Funny thing is the blue network light flashes still. weird. But its there. Also I reflashed the device thanks to cool instructions provided by @vkennedy61 But now that its installed and I can see from different regular switch, it wanted an update. strange I downloaded the latest. unless the server has latest and the website has not yet been updated with latest Pi Bin file. So now its working in my spare room and my office. next to music room and see what happens…
oh wait its back and now blue light is steady… come on man…this is nuts. - version 2.112 stable is what is displaying.
I feel like I am reading a spy thriller.
I need to go make some popcorn.
Eat some popcorn. @Colindshots for me once i found IP, I had to turn on the power to the usb. for the link II its a switch in the back. Does the Red have that? if so turn it on.
Victory at 5:55 AM!
I slept, had another look in the box, and found the SD card. Plugged that in, powered everything up and it worked as it should! Thank you, Brian and I hope you enjoyed the show Vkennedy.
Ah too funny. I did the same thing with my Sonore. the OS is on the card for that box. No card no OS. I am wondering if that is the same for the Red.
It takes a man with a lot of character to admit such a thing.
I have lost count of the similar “Doh’s!” I have racked up along my Audio Journey.
Glad to hear you got it sorted…
Maybe not worked as it should… got Roon talking to it, and connected to my DS MK1 via 2is. Have the DIP switches set 1 off, 2 on, 3 on, 4 off.
I have the 2is selected on the DS and volume up on everything but still getting no signal. Might need to wait until after work.
Or sleep
Fallowing , as I’m all about a new simple streamer…
