Hooking up miniDSP UMIK-1 USB Microphone to REW Room Acoustics Software

hello all, i picked up a mini dsp umik microphone to use room eq wizard. not exactly sure how to go from laptop to either bhk pre or directstream dac. i thought there was a old post about this but could not find it. any advice and/or links would be appreciated. thanks

The easiest way would be to use the headphone-out on the notebook with an adapter cable to RCA plugs. Just connect to an input on the pre. Worked fine for me.

I went with a usb a to b cable from the DSDac.
Chain is this: a to b cable to DAC and to the laptop, umik mic to the laptop on another usb port. REW will detect. You need the proper data file for your microphone so the proper calibration file is in place.

any usb a to b? i have one for a printer but not sure if it should be audio specific?
