I purged all boxes other than my stereo gear ones. It was getting out of control.
Nice, except I see mostly Home Depot boxes and no stereo boxes.
You need more stereo boxes 
I use that cedar room in the basement right next to music room. Don’t need to be caring those boxes up two flights of stairs.

would it be cheaper to buy boxes when reselling vs. renting storage?
Oh it certainly would be if that were the only reason to rent storage. Or if one intended to resell audio items, and with original boxes.
I have a closet in a spare room with all my boxes. Unlike some of you I only have 1 system instead of 17, so a single closet works.

Sanity. I was hoping it showed up before the Audiophile LED bulbs that only shine light in certain frequencies to avoid premature container deterioration and warping causing a loss of bass definition or “seperation”
