How many have since swapped their MKIIs to a PMG Signature 512 DAC? What are your impressions?

I’m out of the gear loop for a while, and honestly, can’t find any direct comparisons by a simple search here.

So folks, since the 512 are out for a while, how many of you MK2 owners have since made and switch?

Happy? Unhappy? why?

Many owners of MK2 have upgraded to PMG 512 and I have not seen anyone returned it and kept MK2 yet.

My personal experience is PMG has been significant better in SQ than MK2 (mine has APS mod too). The SQ is improved in all areas, but the most important difference is PMG has much lower background noise than MK2 which resulted in better details and, well, everything else as I mentioned.

I also upgrade PST to PMG SACD too; the improvement was equally significant. Together the duo has produced the best SQ that I have ever heard from playing SACDs (and from regular CDs too).

I upgraded from the MK2 to the PMG and it was much better especially the built in streamer. I was shocked at how good that was. I had been streaming from an ever solo DMP A8 directly to the PMG Dac. I finally tried the built in streamer in the PMG and I was amazed. I also have the PMG Preamp going into the BHK 250. Will probably replace that soon with the PMG S200.

Significantly better to my surprise.

I have to stop coming to the forum. Every visit seems to cost me money.

I traded in a MK I for the II & was very happy with the improvement in sound quality. The same goes for the PMG DAC . It has a larger soundstage , more detail & images better.

I’m very happy with the switch…no downside at all, everything is better…
