How to connect a single REL S/510 to an BHK 250

Some years ago, I wrote about connecting two REL /S/510 to the BHK and how to avoid hum.
see my old post How to connect a REL S/510 to an BHK 250

Because of restricting in space, I will need stack the two subs to the right in my room.
Running them in mono and daisy chained.

I read the manual. should I follow the instruction in the image for connection one sub?

Follow Up

I followed the manual red to right +, yellow to left + and black to ground.
Kept the anti-hum resistor network as it was.

The stacking of the subs gave the best sub integration of all the insane combination of placement I have tried.

So very happy with the result.

My amp is a fully differential amp, so I use the bottom connection in the diagram. I cannot give advice on connecting to a BHK250, but the method of connection is based on the amplifier used.

The BHK 250 is also a differential balanced design.

When using the high level connections to drive your REL Sub, some have found that also connecting the RCA level to your preamp ends noise. You aren’t actually using the RCA connection for sound, you are just using it for the ground connection between the preamp and the sub.

I used to use the High Level for normal listening, and the RCA for multichannel. But now that I have separate Music and theater setups I don’t do that anymore. Anyway, don’t be afraid to connect the RCA between the sub and the Preamp. Even when using the preferred High Level.

On my setup, two subs, I use both the red and yellow cables twisted together at both ends. I do not use the black wire on amplifier end. Someone will shout that this absolutely cannot work. They will be absolutely wrong. It works great.

If you don’t have a REL sub, ignore all of the above.
