Thank you for sharing this experience. I’m impressed by the sounds this instrument creates; it amazes you to think about the lucid mind that had the idea of inventing such a mechanism. I remember I heard someone playing the organ in a church from Portland when I visited my sister-in-law. I was shocked by the beauty of its sound, and the atmosphere that it creates. I’ve been watching a few of anna lapwood’s videos of late - she plays the Royal Albert Hall’s organ regularly (as well as being director of music at some or other Cambridge college).
She’s also been known to join in when major bands play the Albert Hall, and occasionally plays a bit of Dr Dre on it too
