Identifying digital cable

Before getting my DMP I fed the digital out of my CD player into the DS DAC. I bought a digital cable for this purpose that I no longer need, so I’m going to pass it on to a friend.

I looked in the cable box and found what I believe is this cable, but it is not marked in any way that would distinguish it from a generic RCA interconnect. It’s the only one in the box without a mate, so it pretty much has to be the cable in question, but I want to be sure.

Is there any easy way to test (using a multimeter, for instance)?
