Just tried out the Ifi Spdif purifier and I definitely recommend considering its $150 price tag. I decided to give it a try since tv (directv) and my Nintendo switch send audio through HDMI to the tv and then I am using optical out from the TV and its always sounded iffy.
Sounds like everything is much more present and more dynamic. I am very impressed.
