There is a point of diminishing returns; increasing prices do not provide increasing higher quality.

But, I buy interconnects for their contributions to improved sound.

I have Iconoclast spkr cables. High quality, high performance and low price (in my opinion) compared to many high-end cables. Yet many friends and family think they are crazy expensive. No, not for their quality design and Iconoclast service.
