It was hard to concentrate on reading this with “Who Let the Dogs Out” stuck in my head.
Pretty simple. Had this from the get go when Mars became a “target”. Do we have routine issues returning astronauts from Earth orbit? You are not going to be able to have modern medical instrumentation such as MRI machines—the technology requires far too deep a support structure-liquid helium for the super conducting magnets. Geez, now I have to go uncover why it is that the earth’s store of helium is locked up underground in our methane reserves.
