Is there a Bridge III in the works?

@Paul/@jazznut FWIW, I also have a problem with gapless play from time to time. Sometimes when I select play all from an album via JRemote, after the first, second and third song (each time) the music stops. By the third or fourth track the rest of the album continues un abated. I have just been working around it and assuming it was Wi-Fi issue. Maybe there is more to it?

Cheers.

I remember the last Bridge firmware was better sounding and had a few other advantages and bugfixes but also introduced this more serious bug. I verified by reinstalling the old firmware which removed the DSD non gapless bug, so it’s repeatable.

Oh my. I shouldn’t have looked at this thread. Software based products coming out of the high end audio industry drive me crazy. My experience is this industry doesn’t take software development seriously. I just recovered from nearly having my Bryston BDA-3 (DAC, not even my BDP-3 streamer) bricked with a bad firmware update. Took a month of dozens of users complaining on-line and directly with the company to get an older known good firmware version back up in the public download folder to recover all my functionality. That experience is not unique to Bryston. My conclusion is the industry doesn’t want to use the same process that has been developed through hard lessons learned in other industries. Yeah it costs more, but there is a reason.
