These are great explanations. My system is sensitive to footers and other isolation tweaks. I have tried tons of different footers, pods, platforms, metal columns with ceramic balls, rubber, Sorbthane rings and sheets, etc. They all make a difference here and there. The trick is finding a combination that sound nature, because you can tilt the sound towards too analytic or too warm.
Edit: warm and analytic are terms that are too simple to describe the effect on footers, but it is Christmas eve and I do not have time to give detailed description on how each one affects the sound. But these little tweaks make quite a difference. In fact, when I put the same Alum/balls pad upside down it affected the sound too. I do not understand but one direction sounds way better.
