If the leftovers are french, 20cm.
Extra foil for Goose liver Pâté leftovers? What French wine?
A good Sauternes or perhaps a Hermirtage!
A sweet glass of golden Sauternes matches well with my new golden cable and swan lifter; it’s perfect!
Perfect choice, classic.
The foil wrap goes well with this Spanish ham on sale now at Costco about $140 in TX. A significant discount.
Jamón… Mmmm
I’m glad you tried using a different power cord with the Farad. I wholeheartedly agree that the synergy of the Farad LPS and the AC cable is very important with that unit. For the one you have, I used a DH Labs Corona AC, and yes, the LPS and cable made it very fast. It was very much to my liking that way as I have a very transparent but warm system in the rest of my chain (yay T+A!). I am excited to see my unit go to a happy owner!
I had the same experience with using a separate Farad LPS with the EtherRegen. The LPS and AC cable made a bigger difference on the Ethernet signal than the EtherRegen on its own. In that case I found the Synergistic Atmosphere Level 3 Digital cable to work the best. So it’s all about system synergy!
Yes, happy owner and user here. I’ll experiment some more with cabling in time. I am doing a possible no-no: breaking in Purple fuses in a few components as well. I think in a few weeks when those all settle in and down I’ll have a clearer picture of the whole system and can do more cable swapping.
Right now I’m listening to some LPs (NuWave Phono Converter via HDMI into the DSD) and enjoying a vinyl playback improvement as well thanks to these mods in this DSD. It is making an impact in my system.
Jamon and an aged white Rioja, match made in heaven!
Just received my DC cables from Ghents Audio connecting external linear power supplies.
Here are some pictures. Excellent quality for the buck.
Are you bringing the tape to ground on both ends?
I’ve been wondering what cable Ghent uses for their build. Thanks for the pics.
To me, these look like Canare cables, which I like. Ghent offers other cables like Gotham and AudioQuest.
The first clue was Canare on the pouch.
No only to the male end so it drains rf noise to common ground. It will not work if connected female end.
I use the Gotham. it is more costly but has 5 shields. Ghent would build a gotham with that connector if asked. I put a DS board connector on mine and hook directly to Analog board so there is no RF contamination internal or external to the DAC.
I posted my Ghent cable
in the my next upgrade thread!
Installed the Ghents Canare DC cable on the Zero Zone lps does help improving the musical presentation. It excels in the very low bass areas.
Been a few days now and really enjoying, wonder how the Ghents Gotham will work.
I run Gotham straight to analog board. I have no complaints but terminated it myself and ran it through the blockoff plate wth a 3/8 inch hole no bridge 2. I leave DS powered so never had need for JK board. Use a HDPLEX300 high current 12volt tap. Well built cables quiet and low noise floor. Have some burn in.
