I am happy to see after my and others’ complaints several days ago that font-size for readers turns out to be reader-selectable. And it is nice to be able to select a font color for personal posts. But what about the forum default for this and for the type of font?
Publishers of anything that involves lots of printed text print print in the color black for good reason, I think. And it is generally known in the printing industry that some fonts are easier to read than others. I personally find this one does not qualify. For me, it doesn’t have an “aspect ratio” that is favorable for quick reading unless I enlarge it considerably more than I need to for others.
While I don’t understand how some websites permit it, my browser (Firefox) allows me to designate a default font (and font size) that works for many of them. That feature does not work for this website, however. Is there a way PS Audio can allow that?
The font color selection from the poster’s menu may be flaky. For the post just previous to this, I had purposefully designated my color as black, but it did not display after I submitted. So I am writing this addendum here, again designating the font as black. After resubmitting, I can see that it has worked this time. But why didn’t it the first time? Very strange.
In any event, I hope the contrast demonstrates that black is an easier color to read for many of us.
The entire website has too light a font color. It’s on our programmer’s very long list of fixes to work on. The entire site is controlled by something called CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and he just has to tweak those and it’s fixed. Give us a little more time, you should see improvements to issues on a daily basis. <img title="" alt="" src=“http://www.psaudio.com/wp-content/forum-smileys/5.gif” />
Hope that they get to this soon. I just tried to post with colored text on a word or two for some added emphasis. It appeared to be working while I typed, but the post that went up changed to B&W.

How can I increase the font size . On my iPads or iPhone I cannot increase the font size. I see on the top right corner but it does not work.
Help or is this on the list of issues too

It’s not you, mine dos it too, I mentioned it couple days ago so should be on the list.
justify (which would reflect justified text unless there were more than one line of text, but since I'm testing these buttons, why not keep typing until there's more than one line?)
OK, from that test, it would appear that the tested buttons work with the exception of colored font. Now I’ll go away and play with the Themes to see if I can find one that has better contrast for reading. Thanks. By the way, I like the spoiler alert. Nice feature.
A ‘spoiler alert’ is something that’s used regarding the outcome of something that others might not yet know about. For example, if you’ve not yet seen a movie, or watched some event that you had recorded, or read a certain review for yourself (grin), but others had, they might say “spoiler alert” so you would know that they’re about to reveal the result/ending/surprise. That gives you an opportunity to say something or step away (or hang up, or not look, etc).
It’s something that you might hear on the news fairly often during the Olympics when they’re reporting who won events.
To use the option, just click on the ‘Spoiler’ button (see below). It creates that “Reveal Spoiler” thing that you can see in my test post, which acts like a shield. It’s actually pretty cool.
Ok, got it. As I am posting thought the eye is grayed out. Maybe it only works when you start a new topic as opposed to replying? I never noticed that before. Cool. Thanks for the explanation.

@Paul McGowan - Hope that they get to these things soon.

Slightly off topic, but in the same vein … I’m reading on an iPad and the page formatting is messed up. There are arrows at the top of the page that are on top of text. Also, there isn’t any delineation between posts, say a line to indicate the end of one post and the start of another. Related to the delineation, the posts seem stretched out, taking more space then necessary. Other than that, I’m getting to like the new site.

I don't have the page formatting issue on mine but better delineation between posts would aid separating them, only a narrow, faint space between on mine.
Try changing Themes (drop down list near the bottom of the page). I ended up liking Minimalist the best. I found the new Default theme de-faulty, almost unreadable. Between no delineation between posts and mixing text and user title it was hard to tell what was where and who was saying what.
