Multiwave on Turntable AC Moto

Hi,

Would like to know if I enable Multiwave on my P5, will it damage my turntable AC motor in the long run and also affect the RPM speed? Am currently using the Nottingham Ace Spacedeck.

The dealer said he knows of folks who are using Multiwave with no known side effects on their turntable. I think there should be some effect on the RPM speed and may even damage the AC motor in the long run.

Thanks,

Lee

Nope. Modern MultiWave extends the peak charging current, not the frequency as older ones do, so MW is safe.

Thanks Paul, now I have peace of mind connecting to my turntable.

Have to say the P5 has really made me want to listen to all my favourite tracks all over again …

Excellent!

Please stick around and join in. We would be delighted to have your input, especially on the analog side of things. We need more analog dinosaurs. laugh
