This week sees NA return to AXPONA, North America’s biggest and most influential event for audiophiles and music lovers.
We are back at the show for a very special reason: to preview the new Muon2 reference network range ahead of its launch later this month.
These are the first products to feature our 3rd-generation noise rejection technology and groundbreaking developments in vibration control.
If you’re going to AXPONA you will find us and the new Muon2 range in Rooms 584 and Booth EX9210 with our friends Fern and Roby.

We will also be part of the exclusive The Voice That Is Event (Chicago Marriot, 50 N Nightingale Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173 - 5 minutes from the main show). At the event the Muon2 range will be on demonstration alongside new products from Tidal Audio and Vinnie Rossi as part of an incredible system that is bound to be one of the highlights of the weekend.
For those of you who can’t be at the show we wanted to share with you an exclusive preview of the new Muon2 range. More information on the products and pre-order information will follow very soon. In the meantime please scroll down to read about some of the key features for these exciting new products.

Says the guy who owns a single cable that costs as much . Yes, it’s seems more than a bit rich, but we can’t deny what a good filter and switch can do.
I was surprised that even changing out the power supply on the Tempus to their Origin was a nice jump.
Madness, you bet, but aren’t we all mad?
I think i will hold on to my Muon Pro since i now stream qobuz connect via PMG dac through wifi and use the Muon Pro for streaming my radio apt on my Aurender. For that kind of money you can purchase 2 FR12’s.
Interesting. Madness, maybe . Our local Aurender importer absolutely swears by the Aurender NH10 Network Hub. I bought one, together with the AP20 all-in-one. TBH didn’t even try to compare with or without the hub. All I know is it sounds glorious to my ears and that’s enough for me.
Here is the question. I have been in the streaming-upgrade rabbit hole for sometime. My experience is that one can keep upgrading to bring the streaming SQ very close to the best of discs, but streaming has not been able to exceed the best from discs yet in my system.
But I have been listening to the same recordings (Qobuz AIFF 96/24+ downloads) from both SSD files from MU2 and the DVDs from PMGs, and I could not tell much difference except DVD sounded a little better in bass definition. For music enjoyment they are virtually at the same level!
Right now my streaming gear is easily more than double the cost of disc gear. Does it make sense to keep spending on streaming upgrade to narrow their gap? I don’t know.
I do believe if I spend five times more on streaming then maybe it will exceed the level of discs, or will it? Then I will likely spend more on disc gear to match. That sounds scary!
I will hold off until someone tells me $15k NA Muon Pro 2 setup is absolutely worth it. I am sure someone will tell me that in near future.
My own rabbit hole (race, rather) turned out to be chasing better and even better separates, also with discs as my “best” source. Now I have a simple Aurender AP20 all in one and stream only (Tidal and from NAS). To my ears, I have better sound than what I’ve had from BHK’s, PST and DS MkII. Some might say the AP20 on Vivid Giya 1 Spirits is sacrilege, but my experience proved otherwise.
So, my experience is that my continuous never-ending urge (sickness) to upgrade my equipment was actually CURED by FORCING myself on this route. No media in sight - all given away to a friend. And the Aurender NH10 network hub? No idea if it “works” - to me it’s just an item to “close the loop” … the last “Ivor Tiefenbrun psychological source-first” stop-gap. Now there’s nothing to change, my life is uncluttered and the music comes first.
So to me the beauty is: No more upgrades, except for a theoretical AP20 MkII.
But this is what makes our hobby interesting: That we be on different paths and still be happy.
I have consolidated my system to one amp instead of two, and have an integrated amp instead of a pre plus an amp. But that will be as far as I can go on simplifying my system. Playing discs (mainly SACDs) is more important for my wife too, and my SACD collection is still growing. At least I do not have analog to worry about anymore.
Honestly to me it just comes down to how much money you have to burn and which toy you want most at a given point in time As I’ve said before these are luxury goods at the end of the day, there’s little logic in lust! Last year I spent about equal sums on my analog rig and network gear, probably around $15k total. This year, $15k would be better applied towards a subwoofer or my next speakers… or an Antileon Revelation…
I saw the email from NA yesterday, it was a moment. I was hoping the market would be flooded with original Muon Pro from upgraders and I would benefit. Not gonna happen .
In my world streaming sounds wonderful. But vinyl sounds best, silver discs a close second, and streaming sadly third. But I highly prefer how easy streaming is to use. Switching music is effortless and does not involve leaving my comfy chair. Plus, playing requests is just as effortless.
Yup, I agree everything you said, and that is how we love about streaming. Enjoy the show, and I am watching a good Masters this weekend.
I always wanted to go to watch the grandest golf major live, this year would be a great one to go. Oh well, I will probably go to the Masters before I am going to Axpona.
