Though the sound quality will be widely criticized, Spotify, and other streaming services can be pretty good for finding new music.
I miss curation by people who aren’t simply trying to sell me the latest thing. That’s how I found Shovels and Rope. No station would play them but WNKU did.
Not a plug, per se, but I think the Roon radio function is pretty fabulous now - with v.1.6. It is great for discovering new music. Pull up a few disparate tracks you like and engage the “radio” function. Lots of fun and discovery should follow…

A friend of mine did a documentary on Carolina Chocolate Drops called Don’t Get Trouble in Your Mind. Really good stuff.

Jim Lauderdale. Oh, Ry Cooder, too.
I have the Carolina Chocolate Drops records on vinyl. If you aren’t on the Nonesuch email list they usually have a 33-50% sale a couple times a year.

Nice @terzinator! I will certainly check out the documentary as soon as I have some free time this week, without distraction or interruption. Wishing myself, “Good Luck!”
Looks awsome…how can we watch the whole thing? Guess I’ll have to search around.
i think right now it’s just hitting the film-festival circuit. I’ll see if I can find out more.
