I’ve been using the Origin to power my router. I’ve reported good results, with the often cited “is it overkill” caveat when an add-on’s cost significantly exceeds the cost of the thing it helps. Well, I swaped out the Tempus mk2 power supply with the Origin, and things got even better. Streaming sounds even more natural and significantly less digital grit and grain.
I reported these results back to NA and they said this should be the case, and these ps advances will be incorporated in a future Tempus “2”. Specifically, not an Origin running shotgun, but a further improved ps that will be housed inside a larger single switch chassis.
So, whether you get an Origin to boost a sagging stock power supply in your chain, or wait for future NA offerings, the future looks good. The muon2 is soon to come out, with a complimentarily improved ethernet cable. I’ve beta tested this cable, and though it doesn’t beat my beloved Stealth, it performed well ( I can’t tell you how much better than the existing muon cable, cause I haven’t had one in a while). I’ve been told the muon2 will have the new cable as a fixed tail on one end of the filter. If so, one can assume improvements from that. Should be a good new year for the NA folks.
