Network Ethernet Filters and gadgets Other Than Muon Pro (System)

Do you have Muon Pro too? If you do, then your review will be highly anticipated (since I give up on it  ).

Yes.I currently have a Muon PRO filter.

It will be interesting to hear the difference between the 2 filters.

Thanks!

Would be nice to hear what folks think of this model… Looks to be built like a tank.

My new (to me) LHY switches have turned me into a ā€œswitches can matterā€ believer.

I don’t think the Silent Switch will be better than what you have now. SW-10 alone would be an upgrade from it (more expensive also).

Love my Innuos PhoenixNet, but it is matched with a Zen Mk3, which at this point in the product cycle is way overpriced.

I have heard very little about Innuos on this forum as of late… hope they aren’t the next dodo bird of hifi…

They are introducing another new line of streamers with build options.

On my recent trip I bought a Stealth V21 Ethernet cable. My first from them. I have not listened to my system yet. It will be interesting.

Great, I am looking forward to your evaluation on Stealth Ethernet cable vs. your current one (not sure what you have). If you don’t hear much difference, no big deal. In my system Ethernet cable made less difference than other type of cables.

I’ve never notice ethernet cables to make much notable difference like USB cables that does make quite a difference in digital cables. Maybe I should do more ethernet cable comparisons. I’ll wait for Al’s experience with the Stealth. I do know digital filters and switches make quite a notable difference as with the Muon Pro and SR UEF Ethernet Switch. I definitely heard those improvements in the clarity in the sound from those in my system.

I have two MUON Pros. One with the fancy system cable, and one with an Inakustik CAT7 cable. People I trust here went with the Stealth cable and said it makes a nice audible difference. It’s possible I won’t hear it but it is a brand I trust. The actual V17 cable cost me $1400. Which is $1100 more than I have ever spent on an Ethernet cable. So who knows? I had to remove the fancy metal piece that surrounds the Ethernet jack on the MUON Pro in order for the Stealth to fit properly. 2 screws, easy.

Waiting for the Muon Pro streaming cable successor is a worthy option. From what I heard it will be a major milestone and should be out in the next couple of weeks :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

About a year ago, I switched out the MuonPro Ethernet cable for the Stealth Black Magic Cat8
(no ring). I thought it was better.
Luca had done this as well and found the Stealth to his liking as well as a Pink Faun one. We both shared our findings with NA. Maybe they have taken the feedback to heart and have pursued a better path. We shall see very soon.

Confirm! Just Pink Faun not Inakustik (and STEALTH of course).

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

Is this the next best switch?

I’ve heard noting but good about Nordost switches in the past. The problem I have with this switch as it states on their website performs better with Nordost QRT external power supply that sells at the Cable Company for $2749!! So the new switch and power supply will add up to $8248??

You can get a Tempus (comes w/external power supply) and add Muon Pro for less than the Nordost duo. I’m a Network Acoustics fan.
