Network Isolation gadgets

I’m hopefully going to buy the PSA AirLens streamer and have the following question:
If the AL is galvanically isolated and likewise my PSA DSD, is there a need for expensive so called ‘audio’ quality ethernet cable, network isolators etc?
Thanks

Nope. You are clear to proceed without fear.

Thanks

LAN isolators work, and you don’t need to spend too much on them to notice great improvement. but there are surely some better than others.

Stack Audio SmoothLAN is the latest one I have tried that is really too reasonable in performance/price ratio. I have more expensive isolators in the system that didn’t give me 1/10 of what it can do.

They have a 30 day return policy. You can thank me later.

Now I have a new LAN cable but still the network isolator EN 1005+ between Develo magic powerline 1 Gbit and Melco Switch S100. Yes, fiber optic cable from the ground floor to my floor would definitely be better. A LHY FMC, Optospan modules and fiber optic cables. If I get my Dragon source I would even have a Hurricane source left over for the FMC. The problem is: 1.laying the fiber optic cable through the house. 2. My mother lives on the ground floor and does she like it when I start drilling holes in her living room wall? 3. You put another box there so I can connect to the router? I would tap your electricity with the Hurricane to supply the LHY, which also has to be on your cupboard.:man_shrugging: Could work or lead to long discussions about what snap ideas I keep coming up with. Wouldn’t a Muon ENO 2 instead of my current isolator be a sensible, compromise-ready increase in sound?

Good luck on your project. Luckily I can only have WiFi between upstairs and downstairs; no holes and wires are allowed between floors. Frankly it could be the right way to go so I don’t need to worry about additional isolation. The streaming SQ is excellent so I’m good🕺🏻
