My friend has the U-Turn Orbit Plus. And it’s a good deal. Also easy to setup and made in the U.S.A..
Cheers,
Joe

Slightly more than your limit. I know Technics to build a very robust table. I have bought from this vendor and have been very happy. Free shipping and no tax. I have been very hinky about buying a used table. To me, it seems that the fragility of the table lends itself to be easily damaged in transit. Skyfi has excellent packing. Ferrando is very helpful. Ok will do thanks.
I’m guessing a phono cable is the same as a standard RCA cable? they seem to be ‘marketed’ differently, but I fi just get blue jean LC-2, that should be fine right?
Yes, the LC-2 cables will work well for you. Those are what I’ve used for the 12 foot run between my phono stage and my integrated amp.
Phono cartridges and preamp inputs are sensitive to capacitve loading. I would suggest keeping the cable length at 1 meter. 2 meter sounds a bit long.
Blue Jeans LC-2 cable has low capacitance for phono use and comes in at 11 pF/foot, and can be ordered in custom lengths.
If you can keep the total capicitance including the wiring of the tonearm to 100 pf. You should be good.
You might want to be new to CD’s. Used CD’s are much cheaper than records.
Nah, I don’t see a benefit to a different digital format. Using Qobuz and the mkii is probably as far as I’ll go with digital.
I want the vinyl sound now
I’m new to vinyl also and I can tell you it’s not a cheap journey. It is fun but treasure hunting records can get spendy! Enjoy the trip.
Likewise! What did you get if you don’t mind me asking
I have a loaner from the Angen collection. Rega RP10. It gets the job done. My Diablo 300 has a built in phono stage I’m not sure I need much more. There’s a lot of competition finding used records around here. Record store owners are all over the estate sales.
