For someone who’s supposedly been gone since 2023, Darren sure gets mentioned a lot… in so many of Paul’s youtubes, e.g. just a few days again he mentioned “the team: Darren, Bob, Chris…”. Today’s email from sales mentioned him too. Outside of Arnie Nudell or maybe Chris, I don’t think Paul talks more about anyone else!
Is he back at psaudio? Or is this part of the wooing to get him back? I mean, nothing much seems to be going on at Parasound since the new guy bought it out…
I dont think he is back, but laid the groundwork for many of the PMG products years ago. They take years to make. For the AMPs for example I think he started, but Bob (I believe that is his name) had do finshish up part of the amps design and such.
I think Paul likes to give credit where credit is due, and Darren had a lot to do with the PMG amplifiers. I think Paul said that Darren did all the design work before he left and Bob put the finishing touches on it. Paul has a history of expressing good words and praise about former employees even after they have left and in some cases have joined a competitor. After all, Paul gives Bascom King a lot of credit for the BHK amplifiers, continues to do so, and Bascom is dead.
It would be great if Darren came back to PS Audio but I don’t think the purpose of mentioning his name is to woo him back. (Not that Paul wouldn’t mind if it happened).
