Oddly running both a P3 and a P12 on the same 2-channel system...question

Picture to follow, but I’m wondering what would be the better option (sinewave (SW) vs multiwave (MW) to just leave one or both at and forget it. I’ve been switching from sine (for analog/vinyl) to multi (for digital). The only issue with switching back and forth is that the P3 is facing away for better access to the ports, which makes it harder to switch from MW to SW via remote. Again, looking to leave these alone.

Somebody here said recently that MW has more distortion. Still learning stuff about the power components, as I imagine I will for some time.

The P3 is used for M1200s and REL subs.
The P12 is everything else.

Multi wave vs sine wave differences in sq…

What my ears tell me…with my system…with P15

Sine wave presents quick delicate as well as strong orchestral
spatial 3d cues…

Whereas as multiwave gives a more solid body of instruments
albeit with the loss of nuances…

The lower multiwave settings are closer to sine wave sq while
increasing to 3 and up brings the more solid fuller bodied effect.

Some recordings definitely need multi wave and at tmes 5 -6
level in order to breath life into those recordings…

Hope that helps shed some light.

Best wishes

It should always be what your ears most like, sooo…

Yes change it up how ever best you like it to be…

Apply the condiments as needed to taste…
so to speak…

Hope that helps…

Best wishes…

Agree with David. During my trial testing/break in of a P3, also discovered Sine-Wave added depth and air that increased holographic soundstage ambiance! Comparably, Multi-Wave selection had a very slightly collapsed soundstage thus with my music genre, SW stayed the norm setting!
